饲料中试车间是宁夏饲料工程技术研究中心基础设施建设的重要组成部分，它是实现工程中心科学研究、示范生产、科技人员培训以及学生实践等几方面机能的必要硬件设施。
   中试车间具有较强的生产试验和示范产品能力，可为企业技术改造、设备更新提供中试科学依据。中试车间占地面积2000平方米，总建筑面积4000余平方米，拥有一整套的生产设备，包括预混料、浓缩料、膨化料和颗粒饲料生产线、矿物营养舔砖等，年生产能力20000吨。
   饲料中试车间是饲料行业在职人员进行培训的最佳场所，培训期间通过理论学习和生产实践，不断补充、丰富最新科技知识，熟练掌握加工工艺和操作技能，全面提高业务素质，直接为企业输入新的活力、创造更高的经济效益。
   饲料中试车间可为在校大学生、研究生提供良好的教学实习基地，解决长期以来因缺少生产实践和教学实习场所而影响在校学生教学质量的重点、难点和热点问题，通过生产实习和现场实践，加强对理论知识的理解和运用，丰富实践知识和阅历，培养学生真正成为掌握现代化科学知识和技能、适应饲料行业发展需要的高层次专门技术和管理人才。
     
   生产能力: 粉料每小时0.5吨、颗粒料每小时0.5吨、预混料每小时2吨。 产品种类：畜禽预混料、浓缩料、配合料等。  

    Feed Middle Stage Test Workshop (FMSTW) is one of the most important parts of NFETRC, and plays a significant role on the chain of Industry-University-Research, including demonstrational production, technology training for firms staff, research work, and practical education for students. FMSTW occupies more than 3000 square meters, and has a complete set of feed production equipments, which could produce all kinds of  premixes, concentrates, pelleted feeds, and granulated feeds, and has an annual production capacity of 5000 tons.
   FMSTW can afford services to feed firms on technological improvement, renewal of equipment from small-scale production trials and demonstrations. In the workshop, the stuff can learn practical and operational knowledge on feed production to improve their skill levels and experiences to meet the requirements of workshop production. In addition, college students can learn the practical knowledge via their operations or visits in the workshop to meet practical needs, and resolve the educational problems that students just focus on theory study, but off practical skills.
